Intro to Vfx
When a writer writes a book, he can create infinite possibilities by his words he can transport you to a new dimension have aliens attack the planet and do whatever he pleases. When it comes to showing these stories to an audience via any movie or tv show you need extra help to visually create these scenarios and to achieve that VFX is required, without it we will have limitations that we had once when these technologies weren’t invented back in the early days of cinema.
There are a lot of technologies these days and therefore we have infinite possibilities to make everything come to life, to create any kind of world by using computer generated imagery also known as CGI and by using different VFX software you can put your character in any kind of scenery simply by using a green screen and editing skills. You can add literally anything to the background by using VFX such as Dragons, put your character on Moon and so much more.
When it comes to VFX you need to keep certain things in mind to achieve the best result possible. Before getting into the practical stuff first you need to put your idea on paper and come up with the whole game plan. The software you use will depend on what you want to achieve when it comes to Hollywood movies, they only use specific software so they can achieve the best result possible.
VFX is not only used in Hollywood it has a huge role in making Video games and with the help of VFX we can now see the difference between videos that were played in 20th Century and how they have now evolved with such a realistic look. Where you can play tennis with an apposing partner with moves replicated that of human beings. How they have created so many different scenarios and made all kind of virtual realities come true. Common Software that is used for VFX are Adobe After Affects, 3Ds Max, Maxon Cinema 4D, Autodesk Maya, Mocha, Nuke and Syntheyes.
