Expressionism

What is Expressionism?

In my opinion it is just like a vague metaphor i.e. if you present a metaphor to someone and make them explain it or share their opinion everyone will have a different idea about it. They will project their idea from that metaphor from their set of experiences, ideas, emotions & some hidden feeling that metaphor is able to get out of them. Just like that their is expressionism which is a type of art & painting that has an impact of thought provoking ideas and emotions in the observer perceive the painting differently. But the idea that will be provoked in the observer's mind is in the hand of the painter and thus the power lays in the hands of the painter.

My Expression:

will be on the dark thought provoking parts of our lives it won't bring out happiness in the viewer. It will make the viewer uncomfortable and makes them see the chaos they are surrounded by which will make them tap into the darkest or hidden part of their lives.

The picture that i used to express my expressionism is a sketch that i made a while ago. The sketch shows chaos and the facade that you put up infront of the world but deep down you always have those skeleton buried somewhere deep down. You think that you might be satisfied but the satisfaction you want is never going to be given to you because if you truly get satisfied you won't care about anything or anyone and just live. Deep down you know that but the attachments you have with the world don't let you do that.
